Hard Work Pays Off In Satisfying Win
Beating San Francisco was great because we just went out and played good football, like we had been doing in our losses. We didn't turn the ball over and we played good, smart football. We won the turnover battle and that was the big difference. That's usually the way it is in this league.
I think we had been playing well, but we just made a few too many mistakes in previous games. In San Francisco, it kind of came together for us.
I am always thinking positive thoughts. So, for me and for this football team, the playoffs are still a possibility. The season is not over until it's over. We're still alive, and we're playing good football.
Whether we make the playoffs or not, we're going to continue to play good football and use that momentum for next year. We have a lot of young guys here who are learning to win.
As far as my performance, I think I played well against the 49ers. I felt my blocking and my receiving was good. We ran the ball well, and the entire offense played well together.
I'm pleased with where I am now. I was hurt last year, so this season was a real test for me. I feel normal, a little beat up here and there from a long season, but nothing unusual. I think I'm very close to 100 percent and I feel like I've run the ball well this season.
There is a lot of excitement here after the win. We have three games left and a big on against Detroit on Sunday. You want to get on a roll a little bit and keep playing well.
The Pro Bowl voting ended and I want to thank everyone who voted for me. I truly appreciate that. It's an honor. Just being considered, having a chance for the Pro Bowl, it's a great feeling.
